The problem with the muni plan to ask a company to come into the city spend lots of money and get nothing in return. The internet is a public access arena and should be looked at in a different way. If the city were to poll the constituents and find that a majority of the people wanted it, then it should be provided and payed for out of the taxpayers money. If we begin building the networks this way we might actually see some headway on the wireless growth. Right now we see big buisness looking for a return of some form and not getting it. Advertising cant pay for it all. No one wants to pay for something they can only use in one place. Only through the cooperation of the tax payers and the government athorities is ther ever goig to be a chance for wifi.
